The Bank Block originally included a grocery store, a pharmacy, and a bank among a total of 12 storefronts, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Grandview Heights Public Library has been recognized as one of the best libraries in the nation. The community of Grandview Heights comes together with a variety of annual events and festivals, including The Tour de Grandview, Lazy Daze of Summer Festival, A Taste of Grandview Heights, the Grandview Hop and the Grandview Avenue Farmers Market.


Grandview Heights is served by one of the smallest school districts in the state, Grandview Heights Schools, which operates Robert Lewis Stevenson Elementary School, Larson Middle School, Edison Intermediate School, and Grandview Heights High School. Additionally, there are a number of private school options in the area. Nearby colleges and universities include The Ohio State University, Columbus State Community College, Ohio Dominican University, Capital University, Capital University Law School, Otterbein College.
